We meet on the second Friday of each month in the Lanivet Church Hall. Meetings begin at 7 pm, except in January each year when its is held in the afternoon at 2 pm. New members are always welcome.
Every Summer, at the Royal Cornwall Show, there are several competitions for each of the village Women's Institutes to enter as a team. In 2006, one theme was to depict the year that each village institute was founded. In the case of Lanivet, that was 1938. One of our members, Liz Rutherford, composed a poem, which was generally thought to be of such a standard that we have reproduced it here.
